OU Historical Run

The Oklahoma Sooners' most recent football national championship was in 2000, when they defeated Florida State in the Orange Bowl under Coach Bob Stoops, marking their 7th overall title and first since 1985.. 

• Significance: It was the program's 7th national title and the first of the BCS era for OU.
