Guyer looks to finish strong against Southlake Carroll

The two teams are familiar playoff rivals. In the 2024 regional final, Southlake Carroll defeated Denton Guyer with a score of 56-45 in a high-scoring game that featured significant special teams plays, including a blocked punt recovery for a touchdown by Carroll's Ethan Fisher. 

In the current 2025 playoffs:

• Southlake Carroll advanced after a 49-31 victory over Prosper in a game that was delayed over four hours due to weather, ending at nearly 2 a.m..

• Denton Guyer advanced to the quarterfinal round by defeating Byron Nelson with a walk-off field goal in a close 24-21 finish.
